A little update…

When coming up the hill last night for feeding, Diego had a noticeable limp. Sure enough he had a puncture wound on his left hind :( We cold hosed right away and called Dr Hamilton who came right out. She sedated him and took great care of his wound. He will be on meds for the next ten days but should make a full recovery. We are pretty sure he did it on a short tree sprout out in the pasture. That tree and about 3 or 4 more will be coming out of the ground tomorrow. Diego will get lots of love and attention while he heals and we look forward to progressing his training.

On the bright side lots of farm projects are getting tackled! Pics of those projects to come!
